Very Early Trip 35, October 1969 boxed + accessories
A beautiful original Olympus Trip 35, built in October 1969 - one of the first Trip 35's manufactured, with unmarked original leatherette. Complete with box and original period accessories.
6-digit serial number cameras are now quite rare and collectible. This one has an early serial number of 361056 and the film pressure plate has a date code 'B 9 - X'.
Internally there are different screws in the lens and more heavy duty components like brass threads/cogs. The flash hot shoe has a bright chrome finish.
This one is in lovely original condition, with the original black leatherette and excellent black paintwork. The black paint has not been touched-up. The original 'Passed' sticker is present, next to the shutter button (later cameras have the sticker next to the rewind knob). There are no dents, just some light patina and some bright rub marks - see photos.
We have completed a full service and cleaned inside and out, and fully tested the light meter and shutter. The red flag pops up when the light is too low. New light seals have been fitted and it is ready to use.
The 40mm Zuiko lens is lovely and clear, free from marks, scratches, dust or fungus. The viewfinder has also been cleaned and is nice and bright and clear.
Comes with wrist strap, lens cap, period warranty documentation, early (chrome button) instructions and dealer list.
The photos are of the actual camera for sale. We only get a few of these very early cameras each year.
A great investment. Trip Man 12 month warranty.
