The Trip 35 has a mechanical film counter. It resets to 'S' when the camera back is opened.
Sometimes this part becomes inoperative (jams) because of a lack of use, or a part gets damaged, or a spring goes missing.
This is a complete replacement part taken from a later Trip 35 used camera. Tested and in good working order. It attaches with 2 screws (supplied). See photos.
